How to Reset the Handheld Device

To perform a warm reset:

• Press the FN/BLUE key and the ENTER key simultaneously for a few seconds.

During a warm reset, running programs are halted. The contents of RAM, flash memory and the registry are preserved  

To perform a cold reset:

If the warm reset does not take care of the issue that you are having,

You have (2) options:

• If you are able to click on the Windows icon on the lower left of the handheld's screen, click on Shutdown, Cold Reset:

During a cold reset, the handheld is returned to factory settings and re-installs the HardTrack software. All of your data will be preserved.
During a cold reset, the device will reboot twice, so please wait for the 2nd reboot to complete.

OR:

• If the handheld is frozen and needs to be reset, Press the FN/ORANGE key, FN/BLUE key, and the ENTER key simultaneously for a few seconds. 

Press and hold all (3) of these keys simultaneously for 5 seconds until the reboot starts, then let go:
ENTER + FN/BLUE + FN/ORANGE


During a cold reset, the handheld is returned to factory settings and re-installs the HardTrack software. All of your data will be preserved.
During a cold reset, the device will reboot twice, so please wait for the 2nd reboot to complete.

Following a Cold Reboot
You will need to start the Device Mirror on the handheld again, so that you can access the handheld from your PC using the PC's keyboard and Mouse:

Click on Options, Device Mirror, Setup Device:


It is a known problem that if the Device Mirror is installed too many times on the handheld, a Cold Restart may be required for the Device Mirror to connect from the Desktop:

Please remember to save any open projects that you have updated, before taking the option to Cold Reset your device.

The device will reboot (2) times before it has completed its restart process.
