How to Share a HardTrack Cloud Device with Multiple Concrete Pours, with Different Pour Dates and Times

These are the steps to follow to set up multiple HardTrack Projects, sharing a single HardTrack Cloud device:

Note the Ambient Sensor, NWS Average Ambient Sensor, and Device Internal Sensor are shared among all of the projects that are sharing the same device.  Please leave them in each of your shared projects.

1) Create your 1st HardTrack Project as normal.  However leave all of the sensors in the project, even the sensors that will not be used for the 1st project.
- Click Project, click Save, and Name your 1st Project.
- Name the Sensors that are going to be used with your 1st Project. (leave the remaining sensors on the project for now.)
- Set your Pour Date & Time
- Add your Concrete Types and assign them to the Sensors
- Start Logging for your 1st Project.
Note if you need help completing the above steps, see the helpful links at the bottom of this document.

2) Click Project, click SaveAs in your 1st Project, and provide the name for your 2nd project.
- If you have already started logging on your 1st project, you will be asked if you want to copy the temperature logs to your 2nd project.  Normally the answer is NO.  However, if the data collected up to this point, from the sensors you will be using for your 2nd project are of value, click Yes to this question,
- After the 2nd project has been saved, delete the sensors from the second project that will not be used in the second project.
- single click on the sensors that you are going to delete while holding down the Ctrl key so that all of the sensors that you are going to delete are highlighted.
- click on Senors, Delete Sensor.

Click Yes to the question that asks if you want to delete a sensor that is already logging.

- Name the Sensors that are going to be used with your 2nd Project.
- Set your Pour Date & Time.
It is okay to set an estimated future pour date & time and then later update it when you know the actual pour date & time.
- Update your Concrete Types and assign them to the Sensors
- Start Logging for your 2nd Project.

When logging is started for your projects following the 1st project, HardTrack will ask you if you want to Switch the device to the 2nd and following projects, click No to this question.

HardTrack will then ask you if you want to Share the device with the 2nd and following projects, click Yes to this question.

- Other sensors in your project, such as the NWS Sensor, should also be started.  It is best to click Yes to the following question

- during this process, HardTrack will not send any commands to the device.  HardTrack will only send commands to the HardTrack Cloud Server to set up your shared projects.
3) Open your 1st Project and repeat Step 2 for any additional Projects that you want to share the same device with.

4) After you have set up all of your shared projects for a device, open your 1st Project, and delete the sensors that are not part of the 1st project.
- single click on the sensors that you are going to delete while holding down the Ctrl key so that all of the sensors that you are going to delete are highlighted.
- click on Senors, Delete Sensor.

Click Yes to the question that asks if you want to delete a sensor that is already logging.

If you make a mistake and delete the wrong sensor, you can add the sensors back by adding the same Device to any of your projects and all of the sensors available on the device will be added to your open project.  Just remove the sensors that are being used on other shared projects.  If you have already started logging, you will need to start logging again, after you add back the sensors that you have mistakenly deleted.

Any Sensors that were deleted from the currently open Project will be added back and any data previously collected, will reappear in your open Project.
