How to Switch/Exchange a Cloud Device
How to Switch/Exchange a Cloud
Device
If you would like to Switch/Exchange a
HardTrack Cloud Device for another device, please do the following:
1) If you are replacing a device that may have temperature data
on it, which you would like to retrieve and include in your project, please
move the existing/old device to a location that has a history of a good
cellular connection, please make sure that the antenna is properly attached and
swipe the magnet on the device, so that it can upload any remaining information
prior to performing the Switch/Exhange Cloud Device process.
2) Physically connect the sensors to the new device and be
prepared to swipe the magnet after HardTrack displays the message to do so as
part of the Switch/Exchange Cloud Device process.
3) Open the Project and Select/highlight with a single click, any
one of the sensors on the device that you would like to replace:
4) Select, Sensors, Add Cloud Sensor(s), Switch/Exchange Cloud
Device:
5) You will be prompted through the process
of selecting the device you would like to put in place of the device that you
are replacing.
Select the Device you would like to Switch To:
You will be
asked if you would like to include any of the current temperature data that is
associated with the new device, when the Switch/Exchange occurs.
In almost all cases, you will answer "No" to this question:
NOTE: The
only time you will want to include temperature data from a project that the new/to device is currently running in, are in cases whereby you have the new device
already logging on a separate project and you have already physically replaced
the old device with the new device and you want to include temperature
information that has been capture prior to running the Switch/exchange Cloud Device
process.
If you decide to include temperature data from the project that the new device is currently
logging in, you will be prompted for the date and time you would like to start
including temperature logs from.
All of the temperature data that is on the old device that you are replacing will be moved onto the new device as part
of the Switch/Exchange Cloud Device process.
