How to Upload a Project from the Handheld and Generate a Report - Best Practices

When the time comes to generate a report from an already logging project on the handheld device, please follow these instructions.

Read the sensors/tags by doing the following:
- open the project on the handheld
- single click on one of the sensors/tags
- Click on Read Tag
- Read All Tags

When the Read All Tags successfully completes, Save your project and Exit HardTrack on the Handheld.

On the PC, from HardTrack Desktop, click on Project, Import

Click Yes

Locate the Project in the list that displays and double-click on the project that you would like to upload

You may receive a message indicating that the Pour Date & Time do not match the Start Logging Date & Time of the first reading in the project.  You will have the option to update the Pour Date & Time to the Start Logging Date & Time.

Now Save your Project

To see the results in Excel, click on Project, Export Data, Open Project - Temperature Reports

You can select additional columns to include in your report, or just click on Excel Export

You may be asked if you would like to Save the Selections that you made for the report so that you do not have to click on the Columns to Include, the next time you run the report.

The Report will be generated into an Excel Workbook with several worksheets/Tabs

When the Report has completed being generated, click on the OK button and Excel will open and display your report.

If you already have Excel open and you are editing a cell on another worksheet, you will need to press enter or arrow out of that cell so that your HardTrack Report can be opened by Excel.

If you are done working with this project and would like to Stop Logging on the Sensors/Tags,
Open the Project on the Handheld.
- Single Click on one of the Sensors/Tags
- Click on Logging
- Click on Stop All

Please be sure that the wireless sensors/tags are within range and that there is no interference between the handheld and the wireless sensors/tags.

If you would like to view the latest results for a project online from the HardTrack Dashboard and/or Summary, with you project open in HardTrack Desktop, click on the Summary button in the lower right.
